can a bank change a personal unsecured loan w/ a fixed rate to a variable rate?

I’ve had a fixed rate personal loan for the last year and a half and was notified they were changing it to a variable rate. This isn’t a credit card account. Is this legal?

    Did you read the fine print? When you sign it, and it says they can do that,, then they can.
